- Accurately and efficiently process laboratory specimens, following established procedures and protocols.
- Perform quality control procedures to ensure accuracy and reliability of test results.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.
- Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to ensure smooth workflow.
- Document all procedures and results accurately and in a timely manner.
- Use critical thinking skills to troubleshoot issues and make recommendations for improvement.
- Participate in continuing education to stay current on laboratory procedures and best practices.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of laboratory equipment and its proper use and maintenance.
- Handle and dispose of hazardous materials according to established protocols.
- Provide exceptional patient care by maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.
- Assist with training and mentoring new team members.
- Adhere to all ethical and legal guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
- Continuously seek opportunities for improvement and contribute to the advancement of the laboratory department.
Minimum Of 1 Year Of Experience In A Clinical Laboratory Setting.
Associate's Degree In Medical Laboratory Technology Or Related Field.
Certification As A Medical Laboratory Technician (Mlt) Or Medical Laboratory Scientist (Mls) By A Nationally Recognized Agency (Ascp, Amt, Aab, Etc.).
Knowledge Of Laboratory Equipment And Procedures, Including Specimen Processing, Analysis, And Result Interpretation.
Excellent Attention To Detail And Ability To Work Independently, As Well As Part Of A Team.
