Operating Room Assistant

In this role, you will be responsible for providing essential support to medical personnel in a clinical environment, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our operating rooms. The ideal candidate should have strong interpersonal skills and be a self-starter who is comfortable working independently and as part of a team.To be successful in this role, you should have a high school diploma or equivalent, plus a minimum of two years of experience in a medical office setting. Previous experience as an Operating Room Technician or Assistant is highly desirable. You should also be comfortable working with medical terminology and possess the ability to multitask, prioritize, and work quickly and effectively in a fast-paced environment. Above all, you should be passionate about providing quality patient care.

Responsibilities:

1. Assist medical personnel with various duties in the operating room, such as disinfecting equipment and instruments, stocking rooms with supplies, and preparing the operating room for surgery.
2. Communicate with patients and family members regarding their medical needs and concerns.
3. Monitor and document patient information to ensure accurate records are kept.
4. Follow established protocols and procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of patients.
5. Actively participate in the team-based environment, providing support and guidance to colleagues.
6. Perform basic administrative duties, such as filing and scheduling appointments.
7. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
8. Adhere to all safety and regulatory standards and protocols.
9. Assist with other tasks as needed.
