- Coordinate and guide patients through their cancer care journey, providing support and advocacy throughout the process.
- Utilize expertise in oncology to educate and inform patients about their treatment options and potential side effects.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members, including physicians, nurses, and social workers, to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
- Act as a liaison between patients, their families, and healthcare providers to ensure effective communication and continuity of care.
- Monitor patient progress and address any concerns or issues that may arise, providing timely interventions and referrals as needed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including treatment plans, test results, and other pertinent information.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient cases and develop comprehensive care plans.
- Provide emotional support and resources for patients and their families, helping them cope with the challenges of cancer treatment.
- Stay current on advancements in oncology and incorporate new treatment options into patient care plans as appropriate.
- Adhere to all relevant healthcare regulations, policies, and procedures to ensure high-quality and ethical care is provided to patients.
Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Or Related Healthcare Field
Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Oncology Nursing Or Related Field
Certification In Oncology Nursing (Ocn) Or Other Relevant Certification
Strong Knowledge Of Cancer Treatment Protocols, Procedures, And Resources
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Provide Emotional Support To Patients And Families
