Nurse Manager- Labor & Delivery

We are looking for an experienced, compassionate, and highly organized Nurse Manager to lead our Labor & Delivery team at Novant Health. Our ideal candidate is a strategic and results-driven individual with a passion for providing top-notch patient care. The Nurse Manager will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, developing strategies to improve our delivery of patient care, and creating an environment of quality assurance. The successful candidate will have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to lead and motivate a team, and a strong understanding of labor & delivery protocols. Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and a current RN license in the state of practice• At least five (5) years of nursing experience, with a minimum of two (2) years of experience in a leadership role• Certification in relevant specialty area, such as Labor & Delivery Nursing• Demonstrated ability to create and implement quality assurance measures • Knowledge of current nursing practices and trends• Ability to use data, metrics, and analytics to drive decision-making • Demonstrated success in developing and managing budgets • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to lead, inspire, and motivate a team

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement strategies to improve patient care in the labor & delivery unit.
2. Create and maintain an environment of quality assurance.
3. Supervise day-to-day operations of the labor & delivery unit.
4. Utilize data, metrics, and analytics to make informed decisions.
5. Develop and manage budgets for the labor & delivery unit.
6. Lead, motivate, and inspire team members.
7. Liaise with other departments to ensure patient needs are met.
8. Educate and mentor staff members on labor & delivery protocols.
9. Monitor and assess staff performance.
10. Address patient concerns and complaints in a timely fashion.
