  1. Perform diagnostic procedures using nuclear medicine technology, including administering radiopharmaceuticals, operating imaging equipment, and analyzing images for accuracy and quality.
  2. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to determine the appropriate nuclear medicine procedures for each patient.
  3. Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
  4. Ensure patient safety by following proper radiation safety protocols and monitoring radiation exposure levels.
  5. Maintain accurate records of patient information, image data, and procedures performed.
  6. Troubleshoot any technical issues with imaging equipment and report any malfunctions to the appropriate personnel.
  7. Follow infection control and safety protocols to maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
  8. Continuously update knowledge and skills in the field of nuclear medicine through ongoing education and training.
  9. Provide compassionate and high-quality care to patients, ensuring their comfort and well-being throughout the procedure.
  10. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations, to ensure compliance and patient safety.
  11. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to provide excellent customer service and promote a positive work environment.
  12. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute feedback to improve processes and procedures.
  13. Perform administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments, maintaining inventory, and completing documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
  14. Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  15. Serve as a positive representative of Novant Health, promoting our mission and values in all interactions with patients, colleagues, and the community.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nuclear Medicine Technology Or Related Field From An Accredited Institution.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Clinical Setting, Preferably In A Hospital Or Healthcare Facility.

  • Certification From The American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists (Arrt) In Nuclear Medicine.

  • Current State Licensure As A Nuclear Medicine Technologist.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Radiation Safety Protocols And Procedures, As Well As Experience With Advanced Imaging Technologies And Equipment.
