  1. Provide compassionate and high-quality medical care to cancer patients in line with Novant Health's standards and values.
  2. Utilize advanced knowledge and skills in both oncology and gastrointestinal medicine to diagnose and treat patients.
  3. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients.
  4. Continuously stay updated on advancements and best practices in the field of oncology and gastrointestinal medicine.
  5. Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including reviewing medical history and performing physical exams, to accurately diagnose and treat patients.
  6. Prescribe and administer appropriate medications and treatments to patients, while closely monitoring their progress.
  7. Communicate effectively and compassionately with patients and their families, providing them with necessary information and support throughout their treatment journey.
  8. Document all patient interactions, treatments, and progress accurately and in a timely manner.
  9. Actively participate in quality improvement initiatives and research projects to enhance patient care and outcomes.
  10. Maintain board certification in oncology and stay compliant with all licensure and credentialing requirements.
  11. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment by working closely with colleagues and supporting staff members.
  12. Actively engage in professional development opportunities and attend conferences and trainings to stay current with industry trends and advancements.
  13. Adhere to all relevant healthcare laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
  14. Serve as a role model for other staff members by demonstrating professionalism, compassion, and dedication to exceptional patient care.
