- Provide expert medical care and treatment to patients with gastrointestinal cancers.
- Utilize the latest medical advancements and technology to ensure the highest quality of care for patients.
- Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement personalized treatment plans for patients.
- Stay up-to-date on advancements in the field of oncology and incorporate new techniques and treatments into patient care.
- Effectively communicate with patients and their families to explain treatment options and address any concerns.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records for each patient.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including surgeons, radiologists, and nurses, to provide comprehensive care to patients.
- Participate in tumor boards and other meetings to discuss patient cases and develop treatment plans.
- Serve as a resource and mentor to other medical professionals and staff within the organization.
- Adhere to all ethical, legal, and professional standards in patient care and interactions with colleagues.
- Continuously evaluate and improve processes and protocols to ensure the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care.

Board Certification In Medical Oncology: A Medical Oncologist At Novant Health Must Be Board Certified In Medical Oncology, Demonstrating A Thorough Understanding And Expertise In The Diagnosis And Treatment Of Various Types Of Cancers.
Fellowship Training In Gi Oncology: As A Gi Specialist At Novant Health, A Medical Oncologist Must Have Completed A Fellowship Program In Gi Oncology, With Specialized Training In The Treatment Of Gastrointestinal Cancers.
Extensive Experience In Managing Gi Cancers: The Ideal Candidate For This Role Should Have A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Managing Gi Cancers, Including But Not Limited To Colorectal, Pancreatic, And Liver Cancers.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: A Medical Oncologist At Novant Health Must Possess Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Communicate With Patients, Families, And Colleagues, And Provide Compassionate Care To Patients With Gi Cancers.
