  1. Greet and welcome patients and visitors to our facility with a friendly and professional demeanor.
  2. Answer phone calls and schedule appointments for patients, ensuring efficient and timely scheduling.
  3. Collect and verify patient information and insurance details accurately and update electronic medical records.
  4. Assist with patient check-in and check-out procedures, including verifying and collecting payments.
  5. Collaborate with medical staff to ensure efficient flow of patients and timely delivery of quality healthcare services.
  6. Maintain a clean and organized office environment, including stocking and ordering supplies as needed.
  7. Follow proper protocols for maintaining patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
  8. Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, and data entry to support the smooth running of the office.
  9. Provide support to medical staff as needed, including helping with minor medical procedures and obtaining patient vital signs.
  10. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members to ensure excellent customer service and patient satisfaction.
  11. Keep up-to-date with insurance and billing procedures to accurately process claims and assist patients with any billing-related inquiries.
  12. Continuously strive to improve processes and procedures to enhance the overall patient experience.
  13. Attend training and educational sessions to maintain knowledge of medical office procedures and regulations.
  14. Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve departmental and organizational goals.

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working As A Medical Office Assistant In A Healthcare Setting, Preferably At Novant Health.

  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent Education, With Additional Training In Medical Office Administration Or Related Field Preferred.

  • Proficient In Electronic Medical Records Systems, With Experience In Epic Preferred.

  • Strong Organizational And Multitasking Skills, With The Ability To Handle A High Volume Of Patient Interactions And Administrative Tasks.

  • Excellent Communication And Customer Service Skills, With The Ability To Interact With Patients, Providers, And Other Healthcare Professionals In A Professional And Compassionate Manner.
