• Perform a variety of laboratory tests and procedures, including but not limited to hematology, chemistry, microbiology, and blood banking
• Ensure accuracy and precision in all test results by following established protocols and quality control measures
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, troubleshoot any issues that may arise, and report malfunctions or necessary repairs
• Maintain accurate and organized records of all tests and procedures performed, including patient information and test results
• Adhere to all safety and infection control procedures to maintain a safe and sanitary work environment
• Collaborate with medical professionals and other laboratory staff to interpret and analyze test results and communicate any abnormal or critical findings
• Keep abreast of new developments and advancements in laboratory technology and techniques, and participate in continuing education and training opportunities
• Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals
• Assist with inventory management and ordering of laboratory supplies and reagents
• Participate in quality assurance and improvement activities to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and maintain the highest level of patient care.
