  1. Coordinate and schedule deliveries for the labor and delivery unit.
  2. Provide exceptional support to patients and their families during the labor and delivery process.
  3. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  4. Maintain accurate and up-to-date knowledge of medical terminology.
  5. Ensure all necessary paperwork and documentation is completed and filed accurately.
  6. Collaborate with various departments and individuals to ensure smooth and efficient delivery scheduling.
  7. Maintain a high level of organization and attention to detail in all tasks.
  8. Monitor and manage patient flow and bed availability in the labor and delivery unit.
  9. Educate patients and their families on the labor and delivery process and answer any questions or concerns.
  10. Serve as a resource for patients and families, providing support and guidance as needed.
  11. Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.
  12. Assist with other administrative tasks and duties as needed.
  13. Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment.
  14. Continuously seek ways to improve processes and enhance the patient experience.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent Is Required For This Position To Demonstrate Basic Education And Communication Skills.

  • Healthcare Experience: Previous Experience In A Healthcare Setting, Particularly In Labor And Delivery, Is Preferred To Ensure Familiarity With Medical Terminology And Procedures.

  • Knowledge Of Scheduling Software: Proficiency In Using Scheduling Software, Such As Epic Or Cerner, Is Essential For Effectively Managing Appointments And Updating Patient Information.

  • Attention To Detail: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Strong Attention To Detail To Accurately Input And Maintain Patient Information, As Well As Manage Multiple Appointments And Schedules.

  • Interpersonal Skills: As A Central Scheduling Associate, The Ability To Communicate Effectively And Professionally With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Staff Is Crucial For Providing Excellent Customer Service And Ensuring A Smooth Scheduling Process.
