
Interventional Radiology Technologist

- Perform interventional radiology procedures: The primary responsibility of the Interventional Radiology Technologist is to assist the interventional radiology team in performing various procedures such as angiograms, biopsies, and stent placements.
- Operate and maintain equipment: The technologist will be responsible for operating and maintaining all equipment used during procedures, ensuring that it is in good working condition and following proper safety protocols.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort: The technologist will be responsible for preparing patients for procedures, explaining the process to them, and ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the procedure.
- Monitor and document patient’s vital signs: During procedures, the technologist will be responsible for monitoring and documenting the patient's vital signs and notifying the physician of any changes or concerns.
- Assist in patient positioning: The technologist will assist in positioning patients for procedures, ensuring that they are in the appropriate position for the best imaging results.
- Maintain sterile field: It is the responsibility of the technologist to maintain a sterile field during procedures, following strict infection control protocols.
- Collaborate with the interventional radiology team: The technologist will work closely with the interventional radiologist, nurses, and other team members to ensure smooth and efficient procedures.
- Adhere to safety protocols: The technologist will be responsible for adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines, including radiation safety, to protect themselves, patients, and other team members.
- Maintain accurate patient records: The technologist will be responsible for accurately documenting all aspects of the procedure, including patient information, procedure details, and any complications that may arise.
- Stay updated on industry advancements: It is the responsibility of the technologist to stay updated on the latest advancements in interventional radiology technology and techniques through continuous education and training.

Bachelor's Degree In Radiologic Technology Or Related Field From An Accredited Institution
Current Certification By The American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists (Arrt) In Vascular-Interventional (Vi) Technology
Minimum Of 2 Years Experience As An Interventional Radiology Technologist In A Hospital Or Clinical Setting
Proficient In Operating And Troubleshooting Interventional Radiology Equipment, Such As Angiography, Fluoroscopy, And Ultrasound Machines
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively In A Team Environment And Provide High-Quality Patient Care.
