Novant Health is seeking an experienced, compassionate Hospice Nurse to join our team and provide exceptional care to our hospice patients and their families. This position requires a unique blend of clinical expertise and empathy, as the Hospice Nurse will be responsible for providing a range of services to ensure the highest quality of life for our patients. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of end-of-life care and an unwavering commitment to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care. Qualifications:• Current state RN license • Minimum of one year of experience in hospice or home health nursing • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to maintain a compassionate and empathetic attitude in difficult situations• Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team • Basic computer skills • BLS certification
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to hospice patients and their families.
- Ensure the highest quality of life for hospice patients.
- Monitor patient health and provide medical interventions when necessary.
- Communicate with physicians, other healthcare providers, and family members to ensure quality of care.
- Document medical records and complete other paperwork as required.
- Maintain compassionate and empathetic attitude in difficult situations.
- Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary team to develop patient-centered care plans.
- Provide education and support to family members and other caregivers.
- Follow all laws, regulations, and guidelines related to hospice care.
- Maintain current state RN license and BLS certification.
