- Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments of patients with blood disorders and cancers.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients based on their specific needs and medical history.
- Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other medications to patients as prescribed.
- Monitor and manage patients' responses to treatment, adjusting plans as needed.
- Educate patients and their families about their conditions and treatment options.
- Collaborate with other specialists and healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care for patients.
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in the field of hematology/oncology and incorporate new treatments and techniques into practice.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records for each patient.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues to ensure a positive and supportive environment.
- Uphold ethical and professional standards in all interactions with patients and colleagues.
- Participate in research studies and clinical trials to advance the understanding and treatment of blood disorders and cancers.
- Attend conferences, seminars, and other educational opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills.
- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols to protect patients and staff.
- Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and their families.
- Serve as a mentor to medical students, residents, and fellows, providing guidance and instruction on best practices in hematology/oncology.
Medical Degree: The Candidate Must Have A Medical Degree From An Accredited Medical School, Such As Md Or Do.
Residency And Fellowship Training: The Candidate Must Have Completed A Residency In Internal Medicine And A Fellowship In Hematology/Oncology.
Board Certification: The Candidate Must Be Board Certified In Hematology And Medical Oncology By The American Board Of Internal Medicine.
Experience: The Candidate Should Have At Least 3-5 Years Of Experience In Practicing Hematology And Medical Oncology, Preferably In A Hospital Or Healthcare Setting.
Licensure: The Candidate Must Hold A Valid Medical License In The State Of North Carolina, Or Be Eligible For Licensure In The State.
