1. Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of Novant Health's mission, values, and strategic goals.
2. Serve as a key resource for the foundation board on matters related to nonprofit governance, including bylaws, policies, and best practices.
3. Collaborate with board members to ensure effective communication and engagement in board meetings and decision-making processes.
4. Facilitate the recruitment, orientation, and training of new board members, in accordance with established policies and procedures.
5. Coordinate and support the development of board agendas, meeting materials, and minutes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
6. Work closely with board committees to ensure efficient and effective functioning, including by providing guidance on committee structure, responsibilities, and composition.

9. Foster a culture of transparency, accountability, and ethical conduct within the foundation board, and act as a liaison between the board and Novant Health leadership.
10. Represent Novant Health in the community, promoting the organization's mission and initiatives, and building relationships with key stakeholders and partners.
11. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards related to nonprofit governance.
12. Handle any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Novant Health leadership, in alignment with the organization's mission and values.
