- Respond to emergency calls and provide prompt and efficient medical services to patients in need.
- Operate and maintain ambulance and medical equipment in a safe and responsible manner.
- Assess patient's condition and provide appropriate medical treatment according to established protocols and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible care.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of all patient interactions and medical procedures.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for both patients and team members.
- Participate in ongoing training and education to stay current on advancements in emergency medical care.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and compassion while providing care to patients.
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and efficient patient care.
- Attend to administrative tasks such as restocking supplies and completing reports as needed.
- Stay up-to-date on all state and federal regulations and guidelines related to emergency medical services.
- Demonstrate a commitment to providing exceptional care and service to the community and the patients we serve.
Current Emt Certification: Candidates Must Possess A Valid Emt Certification From The National Registry Of Emergency Medical Technicians (Nremt) Or State-Specific Certification.
Valid Driver's License And Clean Driving Record: As An Ambulance Operator, Candidates Will Be Responsible For Safely Operating An Emergency Vehicle. A Valid Driver's License And Clean Driving Record Are Essential Qualifications For This Role.
Minimum Of 1 Year Experience As An Emt: Novant Health Prefers Candidates With At Least 1 Year Of Experience Working As An Emt In An Emergency Or Hospital Setting.
Knowledge Of Emergency Medical Procedures And Protocols: Candidates Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Emergency Medical Procedures And Protocols, Including Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, And Pediatric Advanced Life Support.
Excellent Communication And Teamwork Skills: As Part Of A Healthcare Team, Ambulance Operators Must Have Strong Communication And Teamwork Skills To Effectively Work With Other Medical Professionals And Provide The Best Care For Patients.
