- Provide timely and efficient emergency medical services to patients in need.
- Operate and maintain emergency vehicles, ensuring they are in proper working condition.
- Respond to emergency calls and assess the patient's condition to provide appropriate care.
- Administer necessary medical treatments, procedures, and medications according to established protocols.
- Communicate effectively with other emergency personnel and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.
- Document all patient care and transport activities accurately and thoroughly.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations.

Valid Emt Certification: Candidates Must Possess A Valid Emt Certification From An Accredited Program, Demonstrating Their Knowledge And Skills In Emergency Medical Care.
Driver's License And Clean Driving Record: A Valid Driver's License Is Required For This Role, As The Emt/Ambulance Driver Will Be Responsible For Safely Operating And Maneuvering An Ambulance. A Clean Driving Record Is Also Important To Ensure The Safety Of Patients And Other Drivers On The Road.
Basic Life Support (Bls) Certification: Emts Are Required To Have Bls Certification, Which Includes Training In Cpr And Other Life-Saving Techniques. This Certification Shows That The Candidate Is Equipped To Handle Emergency Situations And Provide Necessary Medical Care.
Physical And Mental Fitness: Emergency Medical Services Can Be Physically And Mentally Demanding, So Candidates Must Be In Good Physical Condition And Be Able To Handle High-Stress Situations. Novant Health May Require A Physical Exam And/Or Mental Health Screening To Ensure The Candidate Is Fit For The Job.
Communication And Teamwork Skills: Emts And Ambulance Drivers Must Be Able To Communicate Effectively With Patients, Other Medical Personnel, And Emergency Responders. They Must Also Be Able To Work Well In A Team Environment, As They Will Often Be Part Of A Larger Emergency Response Team.
