Emergency Medical Technician
Novant Health is looking for an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to join our team. As an EMT, you will be responsible for providing immediate medical care to patients in an emergency situation. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about providing quality care to patients in a time of need.The ideal candidate for this position is a highly motivated and compassionate individual who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. To be successful in this role, you must have a strong attention to detail and be able to remain calm under pressure.The required qualifications for this position include a current EMT certification, a valid driver’s license, and a minimum of one year of experience working as an EMT. Additionally, you must have excellent organizational and communication skills and the ability to think quickly and make decisions in stressful situations.
Responsibilities:
- Provide immediate medical care to patients in emergency situations
- Remain calm and make quick decisions in high-pressure situations
- Utilize excellent organizational and communication skills
- Utilize strong attention to detail
- Monitor patients' vital signs and assess their condition
- Administer first aid and life-saving treatment as required
- Operate and maintain emergency medical equipment
- Document patient information and medical records
- Follow proper safety protocols in hazardous and life-threatening situations
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide the best patient care possible
