1. Oversee the operations of the medical staff, ensuring efficient and effective processes are in place to support the delivery of high quality care.
2. Develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives to enhance the performance and productivity of the medical staff.
3. Foster collaborative relationships between medical staff and hospital leadership to promote a cohesive and aligned approach to patient care.
4. Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and requirements related to medical staff operations.
5. Develop and maintain policies and procedures for medical staff operations, and regularly review and update them as needed.
6. Manage and oversee the credentialing and privileging process for all medical staff members.
7. Collaborate with other departments, such as finance and human resources, to ensure smooth and efficient operations of the medical staff.
8. Monitor and analyze data related to medical staff performance and provide recommendations for improvement.
9. Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, such as regulatory agencies and professional organizations.
10. Lead and mentor a team of medical staff office staff, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
11. Prepare and present reports to hospital leadership and medical staff committees on the performance and operations of the medical staff.
