  1. Lead and oversee all legal aspects of mergers and acquisitions for Novant Health.
  2. Develop and execute strategic plans for mergers and acquisitions to support the company's growth and expansion goals.
  3. Conduct thorough due diligence on potential acquisition targets and effectively communicate findings to senior leadership.
  4. Negotiate and draft complex transactional documents, including purchase agreements and ancillary agreements.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and compliance, to ensure successful integration of acquired entities.
  6. Stay current on industry trends and regulations to advise on potential risks and opportunities related to mergers and acquisitions.
  7. Provide legal guidance and support to senior leadership on various M&A matters.
  8. Manage relationships with outside counsel and other third-party advisors involved in M&A transactions.
  9. Advise on and help implement strategies for post-merger integration and legal entity restructuring.
  10. Maintain accurate and organized records of all M&A activities and transactions.
  11. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and corporate policies related to M&A activities.
  12. Mentor and train junior attorneys and legal staff on M&A best practices and procedures.

Job Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor (J.d.) Degree From An Accredited Law School.

  • Minimum Of 7 Years Of Experience In Corporate Law, With A Focus On Mergers And Acquisitions.

  • Extensive Knowledge Of Healthcare Laws And Regulations, Including Hipaa, Stark Law, And Anti-Kickback Statute.

  • Proven Track Record Of Successfully Managing Complex M&A Transactions, Including Conducting Due Diligence, Negotiating Contracts, And Managing Post-Merger Integration.

  • Strong Leadership Skills And Ability To Effectively Manage A Team, As Well As Work Collaboratively With Cross-Functional Teams And External Partners.
