Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and knowledgeable Dietitian to join our team and provide specialized nutrition care for our bariatric patients.   1. Develop and implement personalized nutrition plans for bariatric patients based on their specific health needs and weight loss goals.
  2. Conduct thorough assessments of patients' nutritional status, including medical history, dietary habits, and body composition.
  3. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care for bariatric patients.
  4. Provide patients with education and counseling on healthy eating habits, portion control, and lifestyle modifications to support long-term weight management.
  5. Monitor and evaluate patients' progress and adjust nutrition plans accordingly to ensure optimal outcomes.
  6. Stay up-to-date with the latest research and developments in bariatric nutrition to provide evidence-based care.
  7. Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient consultations and progress.
  8. Serve as a resource and educator for the healthcare team on bariatric nutrition and related topics.
  9. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patients' progress and develop integrated treatment plans.
  10. Demonstrate empathy and compassion while working with bariatric patients, understanding the unique challenges they may face.
  11. Adhere to all relevant ethical, legal, and professional guidelines in the provision of nutrition care.
  12. Continuously seek opportunities for professional development and growth to enhance skills and knowledge in bariatric nutrition.
  13. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety and infection control protocols.
  14. Effectively communicate and collaborate with patients, families, and caregivers to ensure a positive and supportive healthcare experience.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Nutrition, Dietetics, Or Related Field

  • Registered Dietitian (Rd) Certification From The Commission On Dietetic Registration (Cdr)

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Bariatric Nutrition Counseling And Management

  • Strong Understanding Of Bariatric Surgery Procedures And Post-Operative Dietary Guidelines

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Educate And Motivate Patients To Make Healthy Lifestyle Changes
