1. Prepare and serve meals to patients and residents, ensuring all dietary needs and restrictions are met.
2. Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and dining area, following proper food handling and sanitation procedures.
3. Collaborate with dietary team members to plan and prepare menus that meet patients' and residents' dietary requirements.
4. Monitor food inventory and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
5. Ensure meals are served on time and at the appropriate temperature.
6. Communicate effectively with patients, residents, and healthcare team members to address any dietary concerns or requests.
7. Maintain accurate records of meals served and dietary restrictions for each patient and resident.
8. Adhere to all dietary and safety regulations and guidelines, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
9. Assist with training and mentoring new dietary team members.
10. Continuously strive to provide exceptional service to patients and residents, promoting a positive and welcoming atmosphere.
11. Maintain knowledge of current food trends and dietary guidelines, and make suggestions for menu improvements.
12. Participate in performance improvement initiatives to enhance the quality of food and service provided to patients and residents.
13. Attend department meetings and trainings as required.
14. Follow all policies and procedures set forth by Novant Health.
