Critical Care Transport - Registered Nurse

As a Registered Nurse at Novant Health, you will have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of critically ill patients by providing transport from one medical facility to another in our Critical Care Transport team. We are looking for a compassionate nurse who is eager to provide exceptional care for patients requiring special attention during transport. The ideal candidate for this role will have the following qualifications: a current, unrestricted RN license in the state of employment; a minimum of two years' experience in critical care in an acute care setting; current certification in BLS, ACLS, and PALS; and current experience in ambulance transport. Knowledge of pediatric critical care and neonatal critical care is preferred.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide specialized care for critically ill patients during transport from one medical facility to another.
2. Possess and maintain a current, unrestricted RN license in the state of employment.
3. Demonstrate at least two years of experience in critical care in an acute care setting.
4. Maintain certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
5. Utilize current experience in ambulance transport.
6. Possess and demonstrate knowledge in pediatric critical care and neonatal critical care (preferred).
7. Provide compassionate care to patients and their families.
8. Record and document patient care and condition.
9. Follow all safety and infection control protocols.
10. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide the best possible care.
