- Perform CT scans and other imaging procedures in accordance with established protocols and guidelines.
- Ensure proper positioning of patients and use appropriate techniques to obtain high-quality images.
- Operate and maintain CT equipment, ensuring proper functioning and reporting any malfunctions or issues.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and respond to any adverse reactions or complications during the scan.
- Accurately record and document patient information and scan results.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to determine the appropriate scan protocols and ensure accurate interpretation of images.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and radiation protection standards to minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including proper disposal of hazardous materials.
- Educate patients about the scan procedure and address any concerns or questions they may have.
- Continuously update knowledge and skills through attending training sessions and staying informed about advancements in CT technology.
- Provide compassionate and professional care to patients, ensuring their comfort and well-being during the scan.
- Monitor and maintain inventory of supplies and inform appropriate personnel when supplies need to be replenished.
- Adhere to all ethical and legal standards to protect patient confidentiality and privacy.
- Collaborate with other CT Techs and healthcare team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of scans.
- Participate in quality assurance activities and assist with implementing process improvements to ensure high-quality imaging services are provided.
Certified And Registered: The Ideal Candidate For A Ct Tech Job At Novant Health Should Be Certified And Registered By The American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists (Arrt), Demonstrating Their Knowledge And Expertise In The Field Of Computed Tomography.
Knowledge Of Ct Equipment And Procedures: Novant Health Is Looking For A Ct Tech Who Has A Thorough Understanding Of Ct Equipment And Procedures, Including Experience With Advanced Imaging Techniques Such As Contrast Administration And 3D Reconstruction.
