Job Description

As a CNA in our Intensive and Critical Care Unit (ICCU), you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our patients. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to join our team on a part-time basis.   1. Provide compassionate care to patients in the Intensive and Critical Care Unit (ICCU) at Novant Health.
  2. Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and feeding.
  3. Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the nurse.
  4. Administer medication and treatments as directed by the nurse.
  5. Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.
  6. Assist with patient transfers and ambulation.
  7. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  8. Document patient care activities accurately and timely.
  9. Follow infection control and safety protocols.
  10. Attend training and educational sessions to maintain and improve clinical skills.
  11. Collaborate with other healthcare team members to provide holistic care to patients.
  12. Display a professional and compassionate attitude towards patients and their families.
  13. Uphold Novant Health's mission, vision, and values in all aspects of the job.
  14. Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.

Job Qualifications
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (Cna) Certification: Candidates Should Possess A Valid Cna Certification From An Accredited Institution.

  • Experience In Intensive Care And Critical Care Units: Previous Experience Working In An Intensive Care Or Critical Care Unit Is Preferred.

  • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent Communication Skills Are Essential For Effectively Communicating With Patients, Their Families, And Other Healthcare Team Members.

  • Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced Environment: The Cna Must Be Able To Thrive In A Fast-Paced And High-Stress Environment, While Still Providing Quality Care To Patients.

  • Availability For Part-Time Shifts: The Position Requires Availability For Part-Time Shifts, Including Weekends And Holidays. Flexibility In Scheduling Is A Must.
