  1. Dispensing and monitoring medications for patients in compliance with state and federal regulations and hospital policies.
  2. Collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to ensure safe and effective medication use.
  3. Providing patient education and counseling on proper medication usage, potential side effects, and drug interactions.
  4. Participating in medication management and reconciliation processes to ensure accurate and complete medication lists for patients.
  5. Conducting drug utilization reviews and making recommendations to optimize medication therapy.
  6. Maintaining accurate and thorough patient records and documentation.
  7. Overseeing and training pharmacy technicians and other support staff.
  8. Staying current on new medications, drug therapies, and treatment guidelines.
  9. Participating in quality improvement initiatives and promoting patient safety.
  10. Adhering to all hospital policies and procedures, including those related to patient confidentiality and HIPAA regulations.
  11. Collaborating with pharmacists in other departments and locations to ensure continuity of care for patients.
  12. Maintaining inventory control and ensuring proper storage of medications.
  13. Responding to and resolving medication-related inquiries and concerns from patients, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals.
  14. Maintaining a positive and professional demeanor while delivering exceptional customer service.
  15. Participating in on-call rotations and providing after-hours pharmacy services as needed.

Job Qualifications
  • Doctor Of Pharmacy (Pharmd) Degree From An Accredited College Of Pharmacy.

  • Active And Unrestricted Pharmacist License In The State Of North Carolina.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience As A Clinical Pharmacist In A Hospital Setting, Preferably In A Night Shift Role.

  • Advanced Knowledge Of Pharmacotherapy, Drug Interactions, And Medication Management In Critically Ill Patients.

  • Strong Communication And Collaboration Skills To Work Effectively With Interdisciplinary Teams And Provide Excellent Patient Care.
