  1. Develop and implement educational programs and training materials to enhance the knowledge and skills of the nursing staff.
  2. Conduct regular training sessions and workshops to educate the nursing staff on new technologies, procedures, and best practices.
  3. Collaborate with nursing managers to identify areas for improvement and create targeted training plans to address these areas.
  4. Provide one-on-one coaching and support to nurses to ensure they are competent and confident in their roles.
  5. Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs by conducting assessments and collecting feedback from participants.
  6. Stay updated on the latest healthcare developments and incorporate relevant information into training programs.
  7. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to identify and address learning needs within the organization.
  8. Serve as a resource for nurses, answering questions and providing support as needed.
  9. Monitor and maintain compliance with regulatory standards and ensure that all training materials and programs adhere to these standards.
  10. Participate in the hiring and onboarding process for new nursing staff, providing education and training as needed.
  11. Maintain accurate and thorough records of training programs and attendance.
  12. Continuously evaluate and improve training programs to meet the evolving needs of the organization and industry.
  13. Act as a role model for professional behavior and embody the organization's values and mission.
  14. Keep abreast of current nursing trends and share this knowledge with the nursing staff to promote professional development.
  15. Collaborate with other educators and healthcare professionals to develop and implement organization-wide initiatives and projects.

Job Qualifications
  • Registered Nurse License: All Clinical Nurse Educators At Novant Health Must Have An Active Registered Nurse License In The State Where They Will Be Working.

  • Master's Degree In Nursing: A Minimum Of A Master's Degree In Nursing Is Required For The Clinical Nurse Educator Role At Novant Health. This Degree Must Be From An Accredited University.

  • Clinical Experience: Candidates Must Have A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Clinical Experience As A Registered Nurse In A Healthcare Setting.

  • Teaching Experience: Previous Teaching Or Preceptorship Experience Is Preferred For This Role. Candidates Should Be Able To Demonstrate Their Ability To Effectively Educate And Train Other Healthcare Professionals.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: The Role Of A Clinical Nurse Educator Requires Excellent Communication Skills, Both Written And Verbal, As Well As The Ability To Build And Maintain Relationships With Colleagues And Students.
