1. Provide direct patient care under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians.
2. Assist with the day-to-day operations of the clinical setting, including maintaining patient records and organizing patient appointments.
3. Communicate effectively and compassionately with patients and their families, addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
4. Administer medications and treatments as directed by healthcare providers.
5. Monitor and record vital signs, document patient progress, and report any changes in condition to the appropriate healthcare team members.
6. Adhere to all Novant Health policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations, to ensure the highest level of patient safety and care.
7. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including stocking supplies and equipment.
8. Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
9. Participate in ongoing training and education to enhance clinical skills and stay up-to-date on best practices in patient care.
10. Demonstrate a positive attitude and a strong commitment to providing exceptional care to patients and their families.
11. Maintain confidentiality and patient privacy at all times.
12. Serve as a patient advocate and ensure that their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs are met.
13. Follow all infection control protocols and ensure proper handling and disposal of medical waste.
14. Perform other duties as assigned by the healthcare team.
