Child Care Lead Teacher

Novant Health is looking for an enthusiastic, nurturing, and experienced Child Care Lead Teacher to join our engaging team. This individual will ensure the physical, emotional, and social well-being of our children through providing a safe, stimulating, and fun learning environment for our diverse patient population. The ideal candidate will possess the required qualifications and be passionate about making a difference in the lives of our young patients. Required Qualifications:• Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field• At least 3 years of experience in a childcare setting providing direct care to children• State licensing requirements for lead teacher or higher• Proven record of developing positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans based on children’s individual needs and interests.
2. Supervise and mentor other staff members, including providing guidance and instruction as needed.
3. Monitor and evaluate the safety and well-being of children in the classroom.
4. Establish and maintain positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
5. Participate in training sessions to stay up-to-date on best practices in childcare.
6. Plan and lead activities that promote physical, emotional, and social development.
7. Ensure state licensing requirements are met and maintained.
8. Document children’s progress and provide feedback to families.
9. Work with other staff members to ensure a safe and secure environment.
10. Communicate effectively with parents and other professionals.
