
Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) Level III- Weekend Baylor

- Provide safe and effective anesthesia care to patients in accordance with established protocols and standards.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to create a comprehensive treatment plan for each patient.
- Evaluate patient medical histories and assess their physical and emotional needs to determine appropriate anesthesia techniques.
- Administer anesthesia and monitor patients' vital signs and reactions during surgery or other medical procedures.
- Respond quickly and effectively to any changes in patient condition or anesthesia needs.
- Communicate with patients and their families about anesthesia procedures and address any questions or concerns.
- Maintain accurate and thorough medical records and document all anesthesia care provided.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and infection control protocols.
- Participate in continuing education and training to stay current with advancements in anesthesia techniques and equipment.
- Serve as a mentor and resource for junior staff members, including CRNA Level I and Level II practitioners.
- Demonstrate a commitment to patient-centered care and provide compassionate and empathetic support to patients and their families.
- Adhere to all ethical and legal standards of practice and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Demonstrate strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills in high-pressure situations.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to identify areas for improvement and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain all required certifications and licensure, and adhere to all hospital policies and procedures.
Advanced Degree In Nursing: A Crna Level Iii Must Have A Master's Degree In Nursing With A Specialization In Anesthesia From An Accredited Program. This Advanced Education And Training Provides The Necessary Knowledge And Skills To Safely Administer Anesthesia To Patients.
Current Rn And Aprn Licensure: A Crna Level Iii Must Hold A Current And Unrestricted Registered Nurse (Rn) License And Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (Aprn) License In The State Of Practice. These Licenses Ensure That The Crna Has Met The State's Requirements For Advanced Practice And Is Legally Authorized To Practice Anesthesia.
National Certification: The Crna Level Iii Must Hold National Certification From The National Board Of Certification And Recertification For Nurse Anesthetists (Nbcrna). This Certification Ensures That The Crna Has Met The Highest Standards And Has The Necessary Knowledge And Skills To Safely Administer Anesthesia.
Minimum Of 5 Years Experience: A Crna Level Iii Must Have A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience As A Crna In A Hospital Setting. This Experience Provides The Necessary Foundation To Handle Complex Cases And Emergencies That May Arise During Weekend Shifts.
Acls And Pals Certification: The Crna Level Iii Must Hold Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Acls) And Pediatric Advanced Life Support (Pals) Certifications. These Certifications Demonstrate The Crna's Ability To Manage Cardiac And Pediatric Emergencies, Which Are Critical Skills For Weekend Shifts When Other Resources May Not Be Readily Available.
