Coding Certification: A Certified Professional Coder Iii At Novant Health Must Possess A Current Certified Professional Coder (Cpc) Certification From The American Academy Of Professional Coders (Aapc).
Extensive Coding Experience: Candidates Must Have At Least Five Years Of Experience In Medical Coding, With A Demonstrated Proficiency In Cpt, Icd-10, And Hcpcs Coding Systems.
In-Depth Knowledge Of Coding Guidelines: A Thorough Understanding Of Coding Guidelines, Including Those Related To Medicare, Medicaid, And Commercial Payers, Is Essential For This Role.
Familiarity With Electronic Health Records: The Ability To Navigate And Code Within An Electronic Health Records (Ehr) System, Such As Epic, Is A Must For This Position.
Strong Analytical Skills: This Role Requires A Candidate With Excellent Analytical Skills, As They Will Be Responsible For Accurately Assigning Codes And Identifying Coding Errors Or Discrepancies.
