- Provide compassionate and quality care to patients in accordance with their individual care plans and needs.
- Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record patient vitals, intake and output, and other health information as directed by the nursing staff.
- Respond to patient requests and needs in a timely and professional manner, ensuring their comfort and safety at all times.
- Collaborate with the nursing and healthcare team to ensure effective and efficient care delivery.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by following infection control protocols and procedures.
- Help with patient mobility and transfers as needed, using proper body mechanics and equipment.
- Assist with feeding and nutrition as directed by the nursing staff.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, building trusting relationships with them and their families.
- Continuously update knowledge and skills through training and educational opportunities.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Report any changes in patient condition or concerns to the nursing staff.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient care and interactions.
- Attend and participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of care plans.
- Conduct yourself in a professional and ethical manner, upholding the values and mission of Novant Health.
Current Certification As A Cna In The State Of Employment.
Basic Life Support (Bls) Certification.
Completion Of A State-Approved Certified Nursing Aide (Cna) Training Program.
Previous Experience Working In A Healthcare Setting, Preferably In A Long-Term Care Or Hospital Environment.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Provide Compassionate Care To Patients Of All Ages And Backgrounds.
