- Perform medical assisting duties under the direction of licensed physicians and in accordance with established protocols and procedures.
- Assist with patient intake, including obtaining vital signs, medical history, and chief complaint.
- Prepare and maintain examination and treatment rooms for patient visits.
- Administer medications and vaccines as directed by physicians.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and accurately record and report results.
- Prepare and maintain patient medical records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Assist with procedures and treatments, including but not limited to dressing changes, wound care, and specimen collection.
- Provide patient education and instructions as directed by physicians.
- Maintain inventory of medical supplies and equipment, ensuring proper storage and disposal.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.
- Attend and participate in team meetings and trainings.
- Provide support and assistance to patients and their families, demonstrating compassion and empathy.

Completion Of A Certified Medical Assistant Program: A Candidate Should Have Completed A Recognized Medical Assistant Program And Obtained A Certification From An Accredited Organization, Such As The American Association Of Medical Assistants (Aama).
Experience In A Pediatric Setting: Previous Experience Working As A Medical Assistant In A Pediatric Clinic Or Hospital Is Highly Desirable. This Ensures That The Candidate Is Familiar With The Specific Needs Of Pediatric Patients And Has A Thorough Understanding Of Pediatric Medical Procedures.
Knowledge Of Pediatric Medical Procedures And Equipment: A Certified Medical Assistant In Pediatrics Should Have A Strong Knowledge Of Pediatric Medical Procedures, Such As Immunizations And Administering Medication, As Well As Be Familiar With Specialized Pediatric Medical Equipment.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: Working With Pediatric Patients And Their Families Requires Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills. A Certified Medical Assistant Should Be Able To Communicate Effectively With Children Of All Ages As Well As Their Parents Or Guardians.
Ability To Multi-Task And Work In A Fast-Paced Environment: Working In A Pediatric Clinic Or Hospital Can Be Fast-Paced And Requires The Ability To Multi-Task Efficiently. A Certified Medical Assistant Should Be Able To Handle Multiple Tasks Simultaneously While Maintaining A High Level Of Accuracy And Attention To Detail.
