Job Description

  1. Perform medical assisting duties under the direction of licensed physicians and in accordance with established protocols and procedures.
  2. Assist with patient intake, including obtaining vital signs, medical history, and chief complaint.
  3. Prepare and maintain examination and treatment rooms for patient visits.
  4. Administer medications and vaccines as directed by physicians.
  5. Perform basic laboratory tests and accurately record and report results.
  6. Prepare and maintain patient medical records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  7. Assist with procedures and treatments, including but not limited to dressing changes, wound care, and specimen collection.
  8. Provide patient education and instructions as directed by physicians.
  9. Maintain inventory of medical supplies and equipment, ensuring proper storage and disposal.
  10. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.
  11. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  12. Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.
  13. Attend and participate in team meetings and trainings.
  14. Provide support and assistance to patients and their families, demonstrating compassion and empathy.
  15. Continuously seek opportunities for personal and professional growth and development.

Job Qualifications
  • Completion Of A Certified Medical Assistant Program: A Candidate Should Have Completed A Recognized Medical Assistant Program And Obtained A Certification From An Accredited Organization, Such As The American Association Of Medical Assistants (Aama).

  • Experience In A Pediatric Setting: Previous Experience Working As A Medical Assistant In A Pediatric Clinic Or Hospital Is Highly Desirable. This Ensures That The Candidate Is Familiar With The Specific Needs Of Pediatric Patients And Has A Thorough Understanding Of Pediatric Medical Procedures.

  • Knowledge Of Pediatric Medical Procedures And Equipment: A Certified Medical Assistant In Pediatrics Should Have A Strong Knowledge Of Pediatric Medical Procedures, Such As Immunizations And Administering Medication, As Well As Be Familiar With Specialized Pediatric Medical Equipment.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: Working With Pediatric Patients And Their Families Requires Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills. A Certified Medical Assistant Should Be Able To Communicate Effectively With Children Of All Ages As Well As Their Parents Or Guardians.

  • Ability To Multi-Task And Work In A Fast-Paced Environment: Working In A Pediatric Clinic Or Hospital Can Be Fast-Paced And Requires The Ability To Multi-Task Efficiently. A Certified Medical Assistant Should Be Able To Handle Multiple Tasks Simultaneously While Maintaining A High Level Of Accuracy And Attention To Detail.
