Job Description

As a Certified Medical Assistant at Novant Health, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our patients in both pediatrics and primary care.   3. Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure efficient and effective delivery of medical services.
  4. Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for patients.
  5. Prepare and administer medications as directed by healthcare providers.
  6. Assist with patient education and follow-up care instructions.
  7. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  8. Adhere to infection control and safety protocols.
  9. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  10. Continuously update knowledge and skills through training and education opportunities.
  11. Provide support and assistance to healthcare providers during examinations and procedures.
  12. Handle confidential patient information with sensitivity and professionalism.
  13. Take initiative in identifying and addressing patient needs and concerns.
  14. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care.
  15. Adhere to all policies and procedures of Novant Health.

Job Qualifications
  • Certified Medical Assistant (Cma) Certification: The Candidate Must Possess A Valid Cma Certification From An Accredited Organization Such As The American Association Of Medical Assistants (Aama) Or The National Healthcareer Association (Nha). This Certification Ensures That The Candidate Has Received Appropriate Training And Has Passed A Competency Exam In Both Clinical And Administrative Skills.

  • Pediatric Experience: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience Working In A Pediatric Setting. This Experience Showcases The Candidate's Knowledge And Understanding Of Pediatric Medical Procedures, Equipment, And Techniques.

  • Primary Care Knowledge: A Strong Understanding Of Primary Care Practices Is Essential For This Role. The Candidate Should Have Experience With Patient Intake, Taking Vital Signs, Administering Injections, And Assisting With Minor Procedures.

  • Electronic Medical Records (Emr) Proficiency: In Today's Healthcare Industry, Proficiency With Emr Systems Is A Must. The Candidate Should Be Comfortable Navigating And Documenting Patient Information In Emr Systems, As Well As Scheduling Appointments And Managing Patient Records.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Certified Medical Assistant In A Pediatrics And Primary Care Setting, The Candidate Will Be Working Closely With Both Patients And Healthcare Professionals. Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential In Building And Maintaining Positive Relationships With Patients, Their Families, And The Healthcare Team.
