  1. Provide compassionate and high-quality care to patients with gastrointestinal conditions.
  2. Work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and effective care for patients.
  3. Utilize advanced technology and equipment to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
  4. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical history, medication lists, and test results.
  5. Ensure a clean and organized clinical environment, following all infection control and safety protocols.
  6. Monitor and assess patient vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the physician.
  7. Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, procedures, and medication instructions.
  8. Administer medications and treatments as directed by the physician.
  9. Assist with procedures and surgeries, ensuring proper equipment and supplies are available.
  10. Collaborate with insurance companies and other healthcare facilities to coordinate patient care.
  11. Attend continuing education and training opportunities to enhance skills and stay current with best practices in healthcare.
  12. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations.
  13. Demonstrate a professional and friendly demeanor with patients, coworkers, and visitors.
  14. Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  15. Continuously strive for excellence in patient care and customer service.

Job Qualifications
  • Completion Of An Accredited Medical Assistant Program: A Certified Medical Assistant (Cma) Should Have Completed A Formal Education Program Accredited By The Commission On Accreditation Of Allied Health Education Programs (Caahep) Or The Accrediting Bureau Of Health Education Schools (Abhes).

  • Certification As A Medical Assistant: Candidates Should Have A Valid Certification From A Recognized Organization Such As The American Association Of Medical Assistants (Aama) Or The National Healthcareer Association (Nha).

  • Experience In A Gi Clinic Setting: A Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience Working In A Gi Clinic Or A Similar Healthcare Setting Is Often Required For This Position. This Ensures That The Candidate Is Familiar With The Specific Procedures And Protocols Followed In A Gi Clinic.

  • Knowledge Of Electronic Health Records (Ehr): With The Increasing Use Of Ehr Systems In Healthcare, Proficiency In Using These Systems Is A Vital Qualification For A Cma In A Gi Clinic. Candidates Should Have A Good Understanding Of Ehr Software And Be Able To Efficiently Document Patient Information.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Cma In A Gi Clinic, The Candidate Will Be Required To Interact With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals On A Daily Basis. Excellent Communication Skills, Both Verbal And Written, Are Essential To Effectively Communicate And Collaborate With The Team And Provide The Best Care For Patients.
