- Provide advanced care to patients with cardiac conditions under the supervision of our renowned cardiologists.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and accurately document findings in the medical record.
- Administer diagnostic tests and procedures, and interpret results to aid in diagnosis and treatment.
- Educate patients and their families on cardiac health, treatment plans, and preventative measures.
- Assist with the management and coordination of patient care, including coordinating appointments and referrals.
- Stay up-to-date on advancements and changes in the field of cardiology, and incorporate evidence-based practices into patient care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care, including progress notes, treatment plans, and test results.
- Demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills in order to establish and maintain positive relationships with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Adhere to all Novant Health policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of best practices within the cardiology department.
- Act as a patient advocate, ensuring that all patients receive the highest quality of care and are treated with dignity and respect.
- Continuously strive to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction through ongoing education and professional development.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care.
- Participate in on-call duties as needed.
- Act as a role model for professionalism, compassion, and excellence in patient care.
- Attend and actively participate in departmental meetings and continuing education opportunities.
- Adhere to all infection control and safety protocols.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Active Certification: The Candidate Must Have An Active Certification As A Nurse Practitioner Or Physician Assistant In The Field Of Cardiology.
Clinical Experience: A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Clinical Experience Working In A Cardiology Setting Is Required For This Role.
Advanced Education: The Candidate Must Possess A Master's Degree In Nursing Or Physician Assistant Studies With A Specialization In Cardiology.
Knowledge Of Diagnostic Procedures: The Candidate Should Have Extensive Knowledge And Experience In Conducting And Interpreting Diagnostic Procedures Such As Echocardiograms, Stress Tests, And Cardiac Catheterizations.
Strong Communication Skills: Excellent Communication Skills Are Essential For This Role As The Candidate Will Be Required To Communicate Effectively With Patients, Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals In A Fast-Paced Environment.
