
Assistant Director - Coding

- Oversee and manage the coding operations of the healthcare organization.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with all coding standards, including ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes.
- Develop and implement coding policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Train and oversee a team of coders to ensure consistent and accurate coding practices.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely coding of patient records.
- Monitor coding productivity and quality metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- Stay up-to-date with coding guidelines, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with coding standards and identify any potential issues.
- Serve as a resource for coding-related questions and concerns from staff and providers.
- Work closely with the Revenue Cycle team to ensure timely and accurate claims submission.
- Participate in the hiring and onboarding process for new coding staff.
- Collaborate with IT and other departments to implement and maintain coding software and systems.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Represent the organization in coding-related meetings and trainings.
- Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on coding operations and performance.
Bachelor's Degree In Health Information Management Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In A Coding Leadership Role.
Extensive Knowledge Of Coding Principles And Guidelines, Including Icd-10 And Cpt Coding Systems.
Strong Understanding Of Healthcare Regulatory Requirements And Compliance Standards.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Lead And Collaborate With A Team.
