  1. Oversee and manage the coding operations of the healthcare organization.
  2. Ensure accuracy and compliance with all coding standards, including ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes.
  3. Develop and implement coding policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  4. Train and oversee a team of coders to ensure consistent and accurate coding practices.
  5. Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely coding of patient records.
  6. Monitor coding productivity and quality metrics to identify areas for improvement.
  7. Stay up-to-date with coding guidelines, regulations, and industry best practices.
  8. Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with coding standards and identify any potential issues.
  9. Serve as a resource for coding-related questions and concerns from staff and providers.
  10. Work closely with the Revenue Cycle team to ensure timely and accurate claims submission.
  11. Participate in the hiring and onboarding process for new coding staff.
  12. Collaborate with IT and other departments to implement and maintain coding software and systems.
  13. Maintain confidentiality and security of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  14. Represent the organization in coding-related meetings and trainings.
  15. Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on coding operations and performance.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Health Information Management Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In A Coding Leadership Role.

  • Extensive Knowledge Of Coding Principles And Guidelines, Including Icd-10 And Cpt Coding Systems.

  • Strong Understanding Of Healthcare Regulatory Requirements And Compliance Standards.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Lead And Collaborate With A Team.
