Certification: The Candidate Must Possess A Valid Certification As A Pharmacy Technician From A Recognized Organization, Such As The Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (Ptcb).
Acute Care Experience: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 2 Years Of Experience As A Pharmacy Technician In An Acute Care Setting, Such As A Hospital Or Emergency Room.
Knowledge Of Drug Dispensing: A Strong Understanding Of Medication Dispensing Processes, Including Unit-Dose Packaging, Iv Compounding, And Controlled Substance Handling, Is Essential For This Role.
Attention To Detail: Acute Care Pharmacy Technicians Must Have Excellent Attention To Detail To Ensure Accurate Preparation And Dispensing Of Medications, As Well As Maintaining Complete And Accurate Patient Records.
