
Supply Chain Specialist
At Northwestern Medicine, we are seeking a highly motivated and driven Supply Chain Specialist who will be responsible for providing a comprehensive supply chain program. The ideal candidate must have a strong commitment to our mission and core values, and understand the importance of providing exceptional customer service.The Supply Chain Specialist must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a health care supply chain setting. The ideal candidate should have a strong working knowledge of supply chain principles, inventory control, and purchasing, as well as exceptional organizational and communication skills. In addition, the Supply Chain Specialist must have the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive supply chain programs to ensure efficient and cost-effective procurement of goods and services.
- Maintain current and accurate records of inventory, purchasing, and delivery processes.
- Monitor supply chain operations to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and best practices.
- Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure high-quality products and services.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize inventory levels, purchasing processes, and delivery times.
- Analyze and report on supply chain performance metrics.
- Negotiate with vendors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and terms.
- Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers.
- Regularly review and update supply chain policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate delivery of services.
