
Senior Payroll Specialist
The Senior Payroll Specialist position at Northwestern Medicine offers a great opportunity for an individual passionate about payroll, with the necessary skills and experience to perform at the highest level in this role. We are looking to hire a detail-oriented individual who takes pride in their work, and is committed to providing exceptional customer service and accuracy with each payroll process.In order to qualify for this position, you must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll processing, preferably within a healthcare setting. You should also have a thorough understanding of payroll regulations, including federal, state and local laws, and be proficient in payroll software applications such as ADP. Additionally, you should possess excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, and have a commitment to meeting tight deadlines.
Responsibilities:
- Process payroll for all employees in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service and accuracy in each payroll process.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant payroll regulations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve payroll issues with employees and managers.
- Prepare and submit payroll reports to management.
- Maintain payroll records and ensure the accuracy of employee data.
- Utilize payroll software, such as ADP, to accurately process payroll.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll processes and procedures.
- Monitor and update payroll policies and procedures in accordance with applicable laws.
- Participate in payroll system upgrades and implementations.
- Assist with annual audits of payroll data.
- Provide training and support to other team members.
