Job Description

We are looking for a motivated and compassionate Registry Physical Therapist to join the physical therapy team at Northwestern Medicine. In this role, you will provide physical therapy services to enhance mobility, prevent disability, and restore function to patients of all ages. You will also have the opportunity to collaborate with other professionals, such as physicians, nurses, and social workers to ensure that the highest quality of care is delivered. The ideal candidate for this position will have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy, with current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Illinois. We are looking for an individual with excellent communication skills, the ability to work independently, and a strong commitment to providing excellent patient care. Responsibilities:

  1. Provide physical therapy services to patients of all ages to enhance mobility, prevent disability, and restore function.
  2. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and social workers to ensure the highest quality of care is delivered.
  3. Maintain current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Illinois.
  4. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other health care professionals.
  5. Utilize clinical judgment and critical thinking to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate treatments.
  6. Educate and counsel patients/families on therapeutic interventions and self-care management.
  7. Document all patient care accurately and in a timely manner.
  8. Participate in team meetings, in-services, and other professional development activities.
  9. Adhere to regulations, standards, and safety protocols.
