Job Description

We are seeking an experienced, collaborative, and highly organized Program Director - Outpatient Oncology Nursing & Operations to join Northwestern Medicine. The ideal candidate will be an innovative and detail-oriented leader who has a passion for providing the best possible service and experience to our patients and staff.The Program Director will be responsible for managing the operations of our Outpatient Oncology Nursing & Operations department, ensuring the highest quality of patient care and services. We are looking for an individual with outstanding communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to effectively manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks.Required Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field• 5+ years of experience in nursing operations, Oncology nursing, or related field• Knowledge of healthcare systems and procedures• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and other related software applications

Responsibilities:

  1. Direct the operations of the Outpatient Oncology Nursing & Operations department, ensuring the highest quality of patient care and services.
  2. Establish and implement policies, procedures, and processes to ensure the department is running efficiently and effectively.
  3. Develop and monitor budgets to ensure financial goals are met.
  4. Develop and implement quality assurance programs to ensure continuous improvement in patient care and services.
  5. Monitor and review staff performance to ensure their adherence to departmental standards and procedures.
  6. Recruit, train, and supervise staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to provide excellent patient care.
  7. Develop and maintain relationships with external partners and vendors to ensure quality services.
  8. Collaborate with other departments and teams to ensure the effective coordination of services.
  9. Develop and implement strategies to enhance patient experience.
  10. Facilitate and participate in meetings to ensure effective communication.
