Job Description

At Northwestern Medicine, we are seeking an exceptional and compassionate individual to join our team as a Patient Care Tech-Heart Failure Pulmonary. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing direct care to patients with heart failure and pulmonary diseases in our hospital setting.A successful candidate must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and possess a Certified Nursing Assistant certification. Preference will be given to those with prior experience in a hospital setting.We are looking for an individual who is passionate about providing excellent patient care and is dedicated to providing a safe and positive environment for our patients. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills, the ability to work independently, and an ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize accordingly. A successful candidate will also have a commitment to professional development and an appetite for learning.We look forward to hearing from you!

Responsibilities: • Provide direct care to patients with heart failure and pulmonary diseases in the hospital setting. • Demonstrate strong communication skills with patients, staff, and other healthcare professionals. • Work independently and manage multiple tasks while prioritizing accordingly. • Ensure a safe and positive environment for patients. • Maintain patient confidentiality at all times. • Follow all hospital policies and procedures. • Maintain a commitment to professional development and a desire to learn. • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians. • Record and update patient medical records and other documentation. • Respond to patient inquiries and concerns in a timely manner. • Assist in the training and development of new staff.
