
Nurse Clinician - Alzheimers
At Northwestern Medicine, we are looking for an experienced and compassionate Nurse Clinician to join our team in support of our Alzheimer's population. The Nurse Clinician will be responsible for providing clinical expertise and guidance to our patients and families living with Alzheimer’s disease and other related dementias. Our ideal candidate will be an experienced clinician who is comfortable and confident in working with all levels of care in a variety of settings.The successful candidate will be a strong communicator, have a passion for helping others, and be able to demonstrate a commitment to providing excellent patient care. We are looking for someone with a minimum of two years of experience in a clinical setting, who is an RN or NP in good standing with their state licensure board and has experience working with geriatric and dementia populations. The Nurse Clinician must also be able to work both independently and as part of a team, and have knowledge of current clinical practices and principles. Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical expertise and guidance to patients and families living with Alzheimer’s disease and other related dementias.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Maintain a high level of quality patient care in accordance with current clinical practices and principles.
- Maintain good standing with state licensure board.
- Work both independently and as part of a team in a variety of settings.
- Monitor patient progress and provide necessary follow-up care.
- Educate patients and families on care needs and disease management.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and laws.
- Document patient care and progress in a timely manner.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills
Ability To Work Independently And As Part Of A Team
Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Or Higher
Certified Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of Illinois
At Least Years Of Experience In Nursing
Previous Experience With Alzheimer's Patients
Knowledge Of Clinical Nursing Practices And Techniques
Excellent Organizational And Time Management Skills.
