Job Description

At Northwestern Medicine, we are looking for an experienced Manager of Pathology Labs to join our team. This role requires a passion for pathology as well as exceptional organizational and leadership skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the pathology lab, as well as developing and deploying strategies for long-term success.In order to be successful in this role, you must possess a strong understanding of laboratory operations, pathology lab processes, and regulatory and accreditation standards. You must also have the ability to lead a team, develop and implement processes to enhance efficiency, and drive innovation. Additionally, you should be able to effectively communicate with a variety of stakeholders, including physicians, clinical staff, and IT personnel.We are looking for a Manager of Pathology Labs who is an experienced leader, highly organized, and motivated to drive excellence in the field of pathology. Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the pathology lab
  • Develop and deploy strategies for long-term success
  • Maintain a strong understanding of laboratory operations, pathology lab processes, and regulatory and accreditation standards
  • Lead a team of laboratory personnel
  • Create and implement processes to enhance efficiency
  • Drive innovation in the field of pathology
  • Effectively communicate with physicians, clinical staff, and IT personnel
  • Monitor quality assurance and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards
  • Manage budget and resources to meet organizational goals

Compensation
