Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and strategic-minded Manager of Benefits - Retirement and Health & Welfare to join Northwestern Medicine's HR team. The ideal candidate is a highly organized, analytical professional with a passion for helping others. This person must have a thorough understanding of the employee benefits industry and possess the skills to develop and manage retirement and health & welfare plans.The successful candidate will be a results-oriented leader with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders. They must have a proven track record of developing and administering innovative and cost-effective retirement and health & welfare plans that meet the needs of our employees.Requirements for this position include:• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field• 5+ years’ experience in employee benefits with at least 3 years in a leadership role• Expert knowledge of ERISA, HIPAA, ACA, and other relevant laws and regulations• Proven ability to manage a wide range of benefit plans• Highly adept at data analysis and problem solving• Exceptional communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, and HRIS systemsIf you have a passion for developing and managing retirement and health & welfare plans and are looking to join a dynamic and growing organization, we invite you to apply!

Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage comprehensive retirement and health & welfare plans • Monitor compliance with ERISA, HIPAA, ACA, and other relevant laws and regulations • Utilize data analysis to ensure plans are cost-effective and meet the needs of employees • Lead and manage a wide range of benefit plans • Provide strategic guidance and direction to internal and external stakeholders • Monitor and analyze benefit plan performance, costs, and trends • Foster strong working relationships with vendors and other service providers • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices, regulations, and trends • Prepare and present reports on benefit plan performance, costs, and trends • Ensure accuracy and integrity of data entered into HRIS systems • Create and implement processes to streamline benefit plan administration • Ensure timely and accurate processing of employee benefit enrollments and changes
