
Health Physicist
At Northwestern Medicine, we are looking for an experienced and knowledgeable Health Physicist to join our team. The Health Physicist will play an important role in developing and implementing radiation safety policies and procedures. This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Health Physics or a related field, as well as a minimum of 3-5 years' experience in a related healthcare setting. The successful candidate must demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement radiation safety policies and procedures to ensure the safety of patients, staff, and visitors.
- Monitor and evaluate radiation exposure levels to ensure compliance with federal regulations and safety guidelines.
- Analyze complex radiation data and identify potential risks, trends, and areas for improvement.
- Develop and maintain radiation safety education programs for staff and visitors.
- Conduct regular safety audits to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Communicate effectively with staff and other stakeholders to ensure the smooth implementation of radiation safety protocols.
- Investigate incidents involving radiation and prepare detailed reports for senior management.
- Keep up to date with the latest developments in radiation safety technology and practice.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop strategies for reducing radiation exposure.
