Financial Assessor - Patient Accounting

Responsibilities:

• Analyze financial information and assess patient needs to determine eligibility for payment assistance
• Review insurance and government healthcare program policies to ensure patient eligibility
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient information and payments
• Keep up-to-date on changes in policy and regulations related to patient financial eligibility
• Provide excellent customer service and demonstrate empathy and patience when interacting with patients
• Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure consistent and accurate reporting
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise with patient payments or eligibility
• Communicate and advise patients on financial options and payment plans
• Utilize effective problem solving skills to resolve disputes and conflicts
• Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor when working with patients, colleagues, and stakeholders
