Job Description

At Northwestern Medicine, we are looking for a Financial Assessor Patient Accounting professional to join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals. We are in search of an individual who is detailed-oriented, organized, and has outstanding customer service and communication skills. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing patient accounts and financial information in order to ensure accuracy and compliance with established policies and procedures.The successful candidate must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, as well as 3+ years of experience in the healthcare finance and/or accounting field. They must also have a thorough understanding of patient accounting, experience in financial analysis and reporting, and be able to analyze and interpret financial data. Responsibilities:

  1. Assess patient accounts and financial information to ensure accuracy and compliance with established policies and procedures.
  2. Analyze and interpret financial data.
  3. Prepare financial analysis and reporting.
  4. Provide excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  5. Collaborate effectively with colleagues.
  6. Maintain knowledge of relevant healthcare finance and accounting regulations.
  7. Ensure compliance with all government regulations, policies, and procedures.
  8. Monitor and audit patient accounts for accuracy.
  9. Participate in the development of new policies and procedures to improve accuracy of patient accounts.
  10. Create financial reports to provide financial visibility to internal and external stakeholders.
