Job Description

At Northwestern Medicine, we are looking for an experienced, detail-oriented Compliance Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong compliance protocols, ensuring that all areas of the organization are adhering to relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards. We're looking for someone who is a strong communicator, not afraid to ask questions, and has a passion for ensuring compliance in all areas of the organization.The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience in a related field, with knowledge of healthcare regulations and ethical standards. They should have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to think critically and proactively to minimize compliance risk. Additionally, the candidate should be comfortable working with a variety of stakeholders, both internally and externally. A Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and maintain effective compliance protocols to ensure organization compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
  2. Monitor and enforce compliance with all existing protocols and regulations.
  3. Identify potential compliance issues and recommend corrective action.
  4. Provide training and guidance to staff on compliance protocols and regulations.
  5. Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
  6. Implement and monitor compliance systems and processes.
  7. Facilitate communications and meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
  8. Investigate and respond to compliance issues and concerns.
  9. Prepare and deliver reports and presentations on compliance activities and initiatives.
  10. Develop and implement strategies to maintain a high level of compliance.
