Job Description

At Northwestern Medicine, our Compensation Analyst is an integral part of the compensation strategy and contributes to the success of our organization. We are looking for a motivated professional with a commitment to excellence and an eye for detail. The ideal candidate should have the qualifications to provide guidance and support to our Human Resources team in the design, implementation, and maintenance of our compensation programs.The successful candidate should have strong analytical and communication skills, a proven ability to work collaboratively across departments, and a passion for developing innovative and equitable pay approaches. They should also have a comprehensive understanding of compensation principles, practices, and regulations. This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, as well as three years of professional experience in compensation.

Responsibilities:

  1. Design, implement, and maintain compensation programs to ensure our organization remains competitive and compliant.
  2. Analyze compensation needs and trends to recommend improvements and updates to our existing programs.
  3. Research and analyze market data to ensure our compensation packages remain competitive.
  4. Monitor compensation policies to ensure regulatory compliance.
  5. Maintain and review job descriptions to ensure accurate job leveling and pay grades.
  6. Assist with the development and implementation of salary surveys and job evaluation systems.
  7. Consult with Human Resources and management staff on compensation issues, policies, and practices.
  8. Develop and implement strategies to ensure equitable pay for all staff.
  9. Provide guidance on salary administration, pay equity, and other compensation-related topics.
  10. Prepare reports for management and other stakeholders.
